Mental Health Treatment for Working Professionals & Executives
High-functioning does not mean fine. Many of the people we treat are successful by every outward measure, executives, attorneys, engineers, business owners, and managers, who have been quietly managing depression, anxiety, or drinking for years because stopping to deal with it felt impossible. Forrest Behavioral Health offers discreet, efficient treatment in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, designed for people who cannot simply disappear from their responsibilities.
Our clinic sits in the heart of the Northwest Suburban corporate corridor near Schaumburg, with evening IOP, telehealth, and flexible scheduling for professionals across the Chicago area.

Why Professionals Delay Getting Help
Demanding careers reward exactly the traits that make it hard to seek treatment: self-reliance, pushing through, and keeping problems private. Professionals often tell us they waited because they feared being seen as weak, worried about confidentiality, or could not imagine taking time away. Meanwhile, symptoms get managed with alcohol, overwork, or sheer willpower until something breaks: a panic attack in a meeting, a DUI, a marriage, or a health scare.
Treatment does not have to mean stepping away from your career. Most professionals we treat continue working through our evening IOP or outpatient programs, and those who take short leave typically return within a few weeks functioning far better than before. Treatment is confidential, and we provide only the documentation you authorize.

How We Tailor Treatment for Working Professionals
We design treatment to be efficient, private, and compatible with a demanding schedule, without cutting corners on the clinical work.
Discreet, Flexible Scheduling
Our evening IOP allows a full workday before treatment, and telehealth sessions can be attended from an office or while traveling. For those who need a brief, intensive reset, our day treatment program typically runs two to four weeks.
Treating the Whole Picture
Stress, anxiety, depression, and substance use usually overlap in professionals. Our dual diagnosis program and CBT-based approach address the underlying patterns, including perfectionism and the belief that your value depends on output.
Leave and Documentation
If you choose to take leave, we provide the documentation needed for FMLA or short-term disability with the minimum information required, and nothing goes to an employer without your written consent.
Programs That Fit Your Schedule
Our day treatment program, intensive outpatient program, evening IOP, and outpatient program offer a range of intensity, and telehealth is available across Illinois for clients who cannot attend in person every time.
Conditions We Treat
We provide integrated care for depression, anxiety, PTSD and trauma, bipolar disorder, OCD, and co-occurring substance use, with psychiatric medication management available on site.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my employer find out?
Not from us. Treatment is confidential, and we release information only with your written authorization. Many clients complete treatment without anyone at work knowing.
How much time will this take?
Evening IOP is typically nine hours a week for six to twelve weeks. Outpatient therapy is one to two hours a week. Day treatment is full days for a few weeks. We will recommend the least disruptive option that will actually work.
Is treatment confidential?
Yes. Your treatment is protected by HIPAA and, for substance use treatment, by additional federal confidentiality rules. Nothing is shared with an employer, school, or anyone else without your written consent, except in the narrow situations required by law.
Does insurance cover treatment?
Most commercial insurance plans cover outpatient mental health and substance use treatment, including PHP and IOP. We will verify your benefits for free before you begin.
What if I am in crisis right now?
If you are in danger or having thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or go to the nearest emergency room.

Other Programs
Outpatient Program (OP)
The outpatient program at our rehab is tailored to those who have completed higher levels of care or require a less intensive treatment approach due to their stage in recovery. During standard outpatient treatment, clients engage in therapy sessions once or twice a week, focusing on maintaining sobriety, strengthening coping mechanisms, and continuing personal growth in recovery. This flexible program is designed to support clients as they navigate the challenges of everyday life, providing ongoing support and resources while allowing them to fulfill their personal, professional, and family commitments. It’s an ideal solution for long-term recovery management, offering a supportive network and professional guidance as clients build a fulfilling, sober life.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our intensive outpatient program is designed for individuals who need more support than standard outpatient treatment but have a stable living situation that supports their recovery journey. An intensive outpatient program involves attending therapy sessions and group meetings several times a week, often during evenings or weekends, to accommodate work or school schedules. This level of care allows clients to integrate real-world experiences into their treatment, applying learned skills in daily life while maintaining a strong connection to support and guidance. The focus is on developing personal accountability, understanding the root causes of addiction, and building a sustainable recovery plan.
